FAQ

FAQ

Q:  Can I add on to my exsiting deck?
A:  Yes you can.  We will help with solutions to make a clean transition between the old and the new deck.

Q:  How often do I have to seal my deck?
A:  Generally you need to reseal a wood deck every year or two.  Composites and PVC's do not need to be sealed.

Q:  What is the difference in life span between Ceder decking and Composite decking?
A:  Cedar needs to be taken care of.  If cedar is sealed every year and has good air flow, you may get 20 years out of the deck.  The life of cedar is dramatically reduced if there is poor air flow and/or the sealing is not done enough.
Composites should last longer than cedar and save money on the maintenance.

Q:  How much does a composite deck cost when compared to a cedar one?

A:  Composites cost approximately 25% more up front, but you save money in the long run with the lower maintenance costs.  Plus your composite deck will last longer than a cedar one.

Q:  Can you attach the new railing to my existing Deck?
A:  Yes you can.  There are many ways to add a handrail.
